The Environmental Working Group (EWG) just released its 2011 Shoppers Guide to Pesticides in Produce. This list helps you prioritize when you really must buy organic and when you can save money buying conventionally grown fruits and veggies. Apples, celery, and strawberries top the dirty dozen list while onions, corn, and pineapple contain the lowest amount of pesticides. Compared to last year, lettuce joined the dirty dozen while cherries moved off the list.
I hope this list makes shopping organic easier.
